Chaos Curveballs
“What are Chaos Curveballs?” We hear you ask. Good question.
In terms of helping organisations meet their obligations under Martyn’s Law, part of our approach is to implement robust systems and processes that can be independently audited by UKAS accredited Certification Bodies as a means of demonstrating compliance. That’s typical business as usual stuff for us.
One of the Standards that we’ll be guiding people through is ISO 22301, for business continuity. We won’t just be looking at terrorism (although that will obviously be a key concern). Instead, we’ll ensure that organisations plan for any adverse event.
In our experience of working with organisations, emergency scenario testing is not always as good as it should be. Consequently, when a real emergency happens, there is a lack of preparedness; mistakes get made and the impact is far worse than if people were properly trained.
That’s where our Chaos Curveballs come in. You see, training can be fun; different and interactive. Training should be memorable. By encouraging people to learn from mistakes in training scenarios they are more likely to remember and do the right thing automatically when faced with adversity.
The short video below introduces some of our Chaos Cards and training aids. Contact us via info@theprotectalliance.uk or give us a call on 02920 695994 to discover more!
